Fisichella in Ferrari until the end of the season!
Giancarlo Fisichella will be the driver alongside Kimi Raikkonen who will drive the Ferrari in the next Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The official announcement was made by means of a statement from the Force India team. Until the end of the season, Fisichella will race in place of Luca Badoer, who was disappointing in the races in Valencia and at Spa Francochamps and who was the original substitute for Felipe Massa who is still recovering from his accident. “It is true that to drive for Ferrari has always been my ambition” – declared the OIKOS sponsored, roman race driver to the Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper – “For this I am very grateful to Vijay Mallya for having allowed me to take up this opportunity”. “From my side, I hope to have helped Force India to grow as a team and get to a position where they are able to satisfy their ambitions. They are now a competitive team and I wish themk the best of luck".
