An encouraging debut for Giancarlo Fisichella in the Formula One Italian Grand Prix, that took place at Monza this last week end. The OIKOS sponsored race driver from Rome, after staring from the 7th row of the starting grid, took the chequered flag in ninth place, just missing out on the points positions. After a good start, the new Ferrari driver got through the 53 laps at a giood rate and with a one stop strategy (the same strategy adopted by the 2 drivers of team Braun GP, Barichello e Button who came in 1st and 2nd respectively). The president of OIKOS, Claudio Balestri, followed events as they unfurled from the main grandstand and at the end of the Grand Prix gave his congratulations to Fisichella after the race in the Ferrari hospitality area: “I would say that the result was positive, above all because he hasn't been able to get the feeling and familiarity with the car yet, Giancarlo manageed to get through the whole race and get some miles under his belt and experience with the car, that will be of great use to him over the last part of the season”.“Now, continued Balestri - in the next race in Singapore, a track that Giancarlo likes alot, I am sure that the result will be of the highest level and in line with the expectations of the driver himself”.
